Edith Ann (Sabatella) Frazee, 96 of Plainville, passed away peacefully on January 25, 2024. She was the loving wife of the late Robert Frazee, with whom she spent 57 wonderful years.
The youngest of seven children to the late Carlo and Catherine (Palladina) Sabatella, Edith was born on March 9, 1927, and was raised and educated in Woburn, Massachusetts. Upon high school graduation, she moved to Connecticut and worked for Marlin Rockwell where she met the love of her life, Robert. They settled in Plainville where they raised their family and were committed to supporting their community through volunteering, having dedicated many years to the Plainville Little League in various capacities.
Throughout her career, Edith showcased her brilliance as a math whiz and office manager at Edro Corp, where she worked for more than three decades. She fulfilled her retirement years surrounded by her family, and spent many days at the Plainville Senior Center where she was an active member and made many friends. She was an expert seamstress, who mastered the art of quilting and shared many handcrafted pieces that brought joy to others.
With a lifelong passion for baseball, Edith was a devoted fan of the legendary Ted Williams and the Red Sox. Rarely missing a game, she found great joy in following the team, meticulously documenting scores and statistics, always keeping her love for the game alive. She will be missed dearly for her no-nonsense personality, her dedication and love for her family, and will be fondly remembered leaving many cherished memories.
She is survived by her children, Robert Frazee and his wife Mel Lipes, and Diane Plante and her husband Dennis, all of Plainville. She was the proud “Grandma Edie” aka “G.E.”, to Joshua Plante, his wife Dariene and their daughter Charlette, Erin Collet, her husband Jeffrey and their children Sydney and Callen, and Nathan Plante and his wife Therese. She was predeceased by her six siblings, Joe, Jeanette, Mary, Rose, Millie, and Annie, and leaves many nieces, nephews and extended family.
