Denise Evelyn Daly

Denise Evelyn Daly, 46, of Bristol, passed away peacefully on Wednesday March 11, 2026, at John Dempsey Hospital.
Born in New Britain on November 26, 1979, Denise was the beloved daughter of Marita (Hryniuk) Daly and the late Gary Daly. She brought warmth and energy wherever she went, as a bright spirit who truly loved socializing and being around people.
Raised and educated in Bristol, Denise worked in retail for many years. With a desire to make a career change, she enrolled in the Phlebotomy Technician program at Tunxis Community College and graduated from the program with excitement to begin working in the healthcare field.
Denise had a joyful soul and an appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. She loved to dance and sing, often bringing laughter and music to any gathering. At home, she cherished quiet moments with her beloved cat, Jerry, who was a constant companion.
A true free spirit, Denise was never afraid to speak her mind and live life on her own terms. She was also deeply compassionate; an empathetic and selfless woman who would help anyone in need and who felt strongly for those less fortunate.
Denise will be remembered for her vibrant personality, her kindness, and the genuine care she showed to others. Her presence brought light to those around her, and she will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her mother, she leaves her sister Melissa Daly, her brother Mike Daly, and her boyfriend and best friend, Michael Matta.
Denise's family will celebrate her life with private funeral services.
