Deborah Needham Obituary

It is with loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Deborah Ann (Heslin) Needham, 68, of Plainville who departed this life on September 19, 2025 in the comfort of her home.
Born on July 12, 1957, in New Britain, CT one of seven children to the late Raymond and Marilyn (Bagley) Heslin, Debbie was a radiant spirit whose kindness, love and generosity touched the lives of everyone she met.
She spent her early years as a dedicated stay-at-home mom, nurturing and guiding her three daughters through life’s many joys and challenges. With a heart full of kindness and patience, Debbie adored every child that entered her care, treating them as if they were her own. Her love for others, especially her family, was boundless, and she dedicated herself wholeheartedly to her grandchildren, who cherished her presence and affectionately called her "Monga."
A devoted member of Our Lady of Mercy Church in Plainville, Debbie lived her life with deep faith and commitment to her spiritual beliefs. Her sweet tooth was legendary, and she found joy in simple pleasures, such as savoring a warm cup of tea with lemon. Her spirit was as bright as the sunshine she adored and she could often be found enjoying peaceful walks, appreciating the beauty of the world around her.
May Debbie's spirit continue to inspire and uplift all of us as we celebrate her journey and the profound impact she had on our lives. She will be missed beyond measure, but her love and light will forever remain in our hearts.
Debbie is survived by her husband, Brian Needham; her three daughters, Mary Ripley (Steve), Heather Needham (Jeff), and Tessa Sullivan (Kevin); her cherished grandchildren and grand pups, Sophia, Caleb, Parker, Kylo and Marcie; her sister, Maureen Heslin (Lou); her brothers, Raymond Heslin (Nancy), Gary Heslin and Robert Heslin; her nieces and nephews, Dustin, Thomas, Lauren and Olivia; her great-nieces and nephews, Roen, Rex, Greyson, Brinley, Amaya and Arabella; and many cousins, extended family members, close friends and the ladies of her women’s group. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Thomas Heslin and Joseph Heslin.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Monday, September 29, 2025 from 5 to 7 PM at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad Street, Plainville.
