David Sanabria Obituary

David Allan Sanabria, devoted son, brother and friend to many, passed away tragically from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.  He filled his all too brief 39 years with faith, love, and an infectious humor.
Born in Bayamon, Puerto Rico September 19, 1983, he was one of two sons to David and Yvette (Nieves) Sanabria and the brother and best friend to Stephen for over 33 years.  Raised and educated in Plainville, he was a 2002 graduate of Plainville High School, where he developed an interest in Jesus Christ, guitar/bass, video games, and Civil Air Patrol. This fueled his drive to pursue an electrical engineering degree.  Dave went on to attend several universities to include Tunxis Community College and the University of Connecticut (UCONN). At Tunxis he was awarded the Academic Discipline Award in Engineering Science in May 2015 and also served on the Tunxis Foundation. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Engineering – BSE, Electrical Engineering in 2021 from UCONN. Musically talented with an adventurous spirit, Dave excelled at playing the electric and bass guitars, made skydiving a recent hobby of his and had a passion for Jiu Jitsu, always finding the closest martial arts studio wherever his travels took him.  He lived a selfless life, always putting others ahead of his own needs regularly. He volunteered consistently in church from the age of 17 to 39 with the most recent being at Black Rock Church in Fairfield, Connecticut over the last 10+ years. He served in various capacities at Black Rock Church that included playing bass on the young adult worship team (Sanctuary), summer camp counselor at Royal Family Kids for foster children and youth, and devoted much of his time and energy to anyone in need, albeit joking many times along the way. A lifelong affinity for Japanese culture, Dave resided in South Korea for a brief time and always longed for the opportunity to go to Japan as a missionary.
He will be missed beyond words by the many lives he’s touched, leaving a legacy of friendship, laughter, kindness, generosity, and yes, more laughter.
In addition to his parents, David and Yvette, and his brother, Stephen, he leaves behind his best friend and his wife, Eli and Emily Kosswig with their 2 daughters and another amazing friend, Matthew and Rachel Blessing. There are too many nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends to name them all, but he loved them all dearly despite the jokes.
Dave always wanted any donations, gifts, contributions to go to the Body of Christ by making any such gifts to Calvary Assembly of God, 56 Dunham Street, Southington, CT 06489 at https://calvarysouthington.org/giving. Gifts can also be given to Black Rock Church, 3685 Black Rock Turnpike Fairfield, CT 06825 at https://blackrock.org/give/.
