Daniel DiNatale, Sr.

Daniel DiNatale, Sr., 87, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at Amberwoods of Farmington. He is now reunited in eternal peace with his beloved wife of more than fifty-five years, Dorothy (MacQuarry) DiNatale, who predeceased him in 2021.

Born in Hartford on March 5, 1939, Dan was the son of the late Salvatore and Mary (Villano) DiNatale. He attended Hartford Regional Technical School before proudly serving his country in both the Army National Guard and the United States Navy. Following four years in the National Guard, he enlisted in the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged after a combined seven years of military service.

Dan built a long and dedicated career in the tire industry, working for My Tyre Man and Reliable Auto Tire until his retirement. He also fulfilled a lifelong dream of owning his own business, operating Danny's Giant Grinder & Pizza in Plainville for several years, where he enjoyed serving the community.

Together, Dan and Dorothy made their home in Southington, where they lovingly raised their two children and created a lifetime of cherished memories. Family was the center of Dan's world.

Dan found happiness in life's simple pleasures in his early years. He enjoyed casting a line while fishing, tending to his garden, losing himself in a good book, and hosting summer pool parties for family and friends. In retirement, he looked forward to trips to the casinos in both Connecticut and Atlantic City, and cheering on his favorite sports teams, The Boston Red Sox and New York Giants through every season.

A devoted husband, proud father and grandfather, and loyal friend, his kindness, quiet strength, and love for his family will forever be remembered.

He leaves his son, Daniel DiNatale, Jr. and his wife Deborah, his loving daughter Donna DiNatale; and his pride and joy, his granddaughter Jessica.  He is also survived by his sisters, Josephine Low, Diane Buonaducci, and many nieces and nephews.   He was predeceased by his 3 brothers, Samuel, James, Joseph, and his 3 sisters, Angie, Nettie, and Ann.
