Cynthia Ann Michaud, 72, of Southington, passed away on Sunday, April 4, 2021, following a 15 year battle with dementia and diabetes.
One of six children to the late Gerard J. and Lucille L. (Roberge) Michaud, Cynthia was born in Waterville, Maine on May 23, 1948 and was a graduate of Lawrence High School in Fairfield, ME, where she made many friends with her bright spirit and infectious personality. She resided in Southington for many years, and was an active and dedicated member of the Jehovah’s Witness community. She enjoyed reading books and stopping at tag sales whenever the opportunity arose. A well-known adored resident of The Summit since 2009, she participated in their many daily activities and events alongside her second family. Cynthia’s siblings and three generations of nieces and nephews brought her much joy, all who find peace in knowing she is now reunited with her mother with whom she shared a special bond.
She is survived by her brothers, Michael W. Michaud of Plainville and Kenneth P. Michaud of Southington; her sisters, Betty J. Uadiski and her husband Jesse of Plainville and Linda L. Johnston and her husband Gary of Tennessee; along with many adored nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Gerard J. “Jerry” Michaud, Jr.
A graveside service at South End Cemetery in Southington will be held and announced at a later date when all are able to safely travel and gather together. The staff at Plainville Funeral Home extends their gratitude to the Michaud family for their trust.
