Corinne (Spencer) Trepanier, 99, lifelong resident of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Apple Rehab of Farmington Valley in Plainville. She is now reunited with her loving husband, William Trepanier.
Corinne was born on January 12, 1926 at home in Plainville, CT daughter to the late Leon and Gertrude (Morton) Spencer. Raised as one of eleven children, Corinne learned the values of hard work and determination from an early age. With a deep commitment to her family, she left school early to help support her loved ones, demonstrating the selflessness and strength that would characterize her life.
Corinne's journey through life was marked by a spirit of exploration and caregiving. She embraced various roles, from waitressing to home healthcare and working for the telephone company. Yet, the role she treasured most was that of a devoted mother, always putting her children’s needs above her own. Time at home caring for her family allotted her to indulge in cooking and baking, which both she was excellent at and loved sharing her creations.
Corinne found joy in her artistic endeavors as an active member of the Plainville Senior Center, where she cherished the friendships and companionship that enriched her life. Her connection to the community was an integral part of who she was, and she embraced her many years residing in the Plainville Housing and as a former member of the Plainville United Methodist Church. Her warmth and kindness touched the lives of those around her, leaving an imprint that will not be forgotten.
Corinne is survived by her children, William Allen and his wife, Donna, of Plainville, and Linda Miller, of Southington; her four grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to her husband, William Trepanier, Corinne was predeceased by her ten siblings, her son-in-law, Darrell Miller, and her previous husband who was the father of two children, William Allen.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Saturday, February 15, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad Street, Plainville. A prayer service and words of remembrance will be shared at 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Corinne will be laid to rest with her husband, William Trepanier, at St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Corinne may be made to the Plainville Senior Center, 200 East Street, Plainville, CT 06062.
