Charles Sperazza

Charles Sperazza Jr., 88, longtime resident of Plainville, passed away on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Midstate Medical Center in Meriden. He was the loving husband to Loretta Sperazza. Together they shared 65 years of marriage.

Charles was born on January 4, 1934 in Pittston, Pennsylvania son to the late Charles and Cecilia Sperazza Sr. Charles proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force and was honorably discharged. He was musically inclined and played many instruments throughout his life, including the keyboard, harmonica, and in his younger years played the guitar in a band. He was a self-employed plumber serving the local communities for over 25 years while making many lasting relationships with his clients. He was very humble but it was prominently known that he was proud of his business that he ran and operated for many successful years, Ready Plumbing Service.

In addition to his wife, Loretta, Charles is survived by his children, Charles Sperazza III, Julie LeBron and her husband, Tony, and Karen Fallas and her husband, Mario, his 5 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Family and friends are welcome to gather at the Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St., Plainville on Friday, January 21 from 12 to 1 PM. A service in celebration of Charles’ life will begin at 1 PM. Burial with full military honors will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Plainville. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Charles can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O.
