Brian P. Welz passed away peacefully on April 12th, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. A devoted husband, father, son, and friend, Brian lived a life of hard work, loyalty, and deep love for those closest to him. Brian has now joined his departed father, Robert Welz, a reunion we know is filled with peace and love.
Brian was a dedicated and respected employee who gave over 37 years of service to TRUMPF, where his work ethic and integrity left a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of working with him. His strength and reliability were the foundation of his professional and family life.
Brian found his most significant accomplishment and joy at home with the love of his life and soulmate, Greta. They shared 33 years together, filled with devotion, laughter, and deep companionship. Whether they were watching UConn basketball or cheering on the Mets, Brian was most content when he was by her side. Together, they built a home full of warmth, love, and unwavering support.
Brian is survived by his beloved wife, Greta (Ferguson) Welz; his daughter, Morgan; his sons, Chad, Connor, and Jackson; his treasured granddaughter, Ruby; his mother, Carol (Bugay) Welz-Cassidy; and his sister, Lisa (Welz) Rivers. He is also lovingly remembered by many in-laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, who cherished him profoundly and always felt the warmth of his presence. His memory lives on in each of them in their hearts.
To know Brian was to learn kindness, dependability, and a sense of humor that brightened even the smallest moments. He was the kind of person who made those around him feel supported and cared for.
He will be forever missed every single day until we meet again.
