With shattered hearts, we share the unimaginable loss of Brayden Miles Mio, who left us far too soon and unexpectedly on Sunday, February 8, 2026. Though his time on this earth was heartbreakingly brief, Brayden filled it with a love and light far greater than his years.
Born on March 13, 2024, Brayden was the beloved son of Giovanni and Amber Mio, and a much-loved grandson, great-grandson, and nephew. From the moment he arrived, he brought endless joy, laughter, and purpose to his family, who treasured every smile, every giggle, and every small wonder he shared with them.
Brayden had a boundless love for dinosaurs and Bluey a passion reflected in the theme of his new bedroom and his eagerly anticipated second birthday party. He was rarely seen without his favorite Toy Story blanket, always close by, along with an ever-growing collection of beloved stuffies that brought him comfort and joy.
Brayden attended The Learning Center in Terryville, where his bright spirit touched the lives of his friends, teachers and caretakers. His presence had a way of lighting up a room, through his curiosity, his sweetness, and the simple, beautiful magic of who he was.
Though words can never fully capture the depth of this loss, Brayden’s love will live on in every memory held close, and every quiet moment when he is felt rather than seen. He will forever be cherished, forever missed, and forever loved beyond measure.
In addition to his parents, he leaves his Maternal Grandparents Melanie Moon and Brian Huggard; his Paternal Grandparents, Denise Mio and Vito and Pamela Mio; his great-grandmother Carol Moon; his uncle Nicholas Mio; his aunts Mariella Mio and Kelsey Moon and his four-legged best friends, his kitty Mabel and his dog Maggie.
In lieu of flowers, Brayden may be remembered with contributions to The Learning Center, 9 N. Riverside Ave, Terryville, CT 06786.
