Aurelie "Lee" Winifred (Talley) Derosier

Aurelie “Lee” Winifred Derosier, 72, beloved wife of 53 years to Donald Derosier, Sr., entered the gates of heaven on November 19, 2022 after a short illness. She was born on July 20, 1950 to the late Thomas & Joan Talley Jr. 

Lee was known for her great sense of humor and her many facial expressions. In her free time Lee enjoyed painting and anything crafty.  One of her favorite things to do was crafts with her grandchildren who were the light of her life - she talked about them often.  In her early years she enjoyed camping with her husband and children at Acorn Acres in Colchester, CT.  She retired from TLC Oil Company in East Hartford after working in the oil industry her entire career. Lee was an amazing wife, mother, sister, and Mimi. Lee will be immensely missed by all of her friends and family.

In addition to her husband, Lee is survived by her two sons Donald Derosier, Jr. and wife Kimberly of Vernon, CT, Doug Derosier and wife Kelly of Plainville, CT; her siblings Vera Johnson and husband Peter Johnson, Sr. of Plainville, CT, Teena Gravel-Shoemaker of Bristol, CT, Gregory Talley and wife Nicole of Des Moines, IA, Jim Talley and wife Meda of Plainville, CT and her sister-in-law Cathy Talley of Plainville, CT; her six grandchildren Shea (fiancé Travis), Colby, Grace, Faith, Hope and Nolan; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her youngest brother, John Talley, her brother-in-law John Gravel and a special sister-in-law Marie Hodza.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Apple Rehab in Plainville, CT for taking such good care of Lee aka “Lee the Queen Bee” these past eight years. Lee will be greatly missed by all.

Family and friends are welcome to gather on Tuesday, December 6 at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St., Plainville from 5 to 7 PM. Words of remembrance will be shared at 7 PM. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lee can be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
