Arthur Allen Screen, 60, of Plainville passed away on February 17, 2025 at Hartford Hospital.
Arthur was born on October 10, 1964 son to the late Charles and Lillian (Goulden) Screen. Arthur worked for various Electrical Contractors for the majority of his career, most notably, Ferguson Electric. He enjoyed political activism and ran for Plainville Town Council at different times as both an Independent and as a Republican. He was a former Chairman of The Plainville Republican Committee. Known for his strong will and vibrant personality, Arthur leaves behind a legacy of authenticity and a zest for life that challenged those around him to live life on their own terms.
Arthur is survived by his cousin, Cindy Goodfield and her husband, Paul, of Monterey, TN, his best friend, Deborah Tompkins, of Plainville, his brother-in-law, Melvin Saylor, of Windsor, and several other cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family members. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, James Cyr, and his sister, Martha (Albrecht) Saylor.
Family and friends are welcome to gather on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 4 to 6 PM at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad Street, Plainville. A celebration of Arthur’s life with words of remembrance led by life celebrant Jesse Gnazzo will begin at 6 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at West Cemetery, Plainville, at the convenience of the family.
