Aida Perez Cortes, 84 of Meriden passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday July 31, 2021. Born in Aguada, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Manuel (Piro) Perez and Amparo (Pajo) Feliciano.
Aida lived in Meriden for 35 years and last resided in Plainville. She worked for Eyelet Specialty and retired from Napiers Company. She loved spending time with family and friends, especially her grandchildren. Aida enjoyed sewing, crocheting and loved cooking for anyone who came to her home.
She is survived by her sisters, Amparo and Luisa Perez of PR, Alma Roman of CT and her brother Angel Perez of FL, her daughters, Edith Boisvert and her husband David of Southington, Lucy Villanueva of Bristol, Evelyn Chaparro and her husband Jerry of Meriden, Marilyn Villanueva and her fiancé Gary Carabetta of Plainville, 7 grandchildren, Sara Bickell, Melani Crespo, Daniel Reyes, Tony Gonzalez, Jr., Garrett Boisvert, Brian Ginter, Joel Chaparro, her great-grandchildren, Jaiden, Xavier, Eva, Madeline, Lucas, Julian, Zeus and several nephews and nieces and many friends. She will be sorely missed.

Family and friends may gather on Thursday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St. Plainville. Aida’s family and friends will share words of remembrance at 5:30 p.m.
