Ana E. (Gantes) Simoneau, 54, of Plainville, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, August 5, 2019. Ana fought her brief battle with cancer with hope, grace and with her family by her side.
Born in Panama on April 29, 1965, Ana was one of ten children to the late Abigail and Evidilia (Mojica) Gantes. Raised in Panama, she settled in Plainville upon her marriage to the love of her life, Ron, in 1998 and together raised a beautiful family of three. Ana worked as a Customer Service Manager for Wal-Mart for almost 20 years, where she leaves many friends and co-workers. She took great pride in her yard and gardens, and was happy to see her first tomato plants begin to bloom. She and Ron enjoyed traveling, trips to the casino, crafting, and taking relaxing vacations, especially visiting her family in Panama. Ana was a loyal Red Sox Fan and fulfilled Ron’s dream, accompanying him to the 2018 World Series. She will be missed by many, leaving a legacy of love and kindheartedness and many cherished memories.
In addition to her husband, she leaves her beloved children Carol Diaz, and Shaun and Valerie Simoneau; her brothers, Jorge Albento, Abigail, Luis Antonio, Christian Amed, and her sisters, Mayra Isabel, Alba Rosa, Migdaly, Fany Del Carmen and Gricelda. She also leaves behind her loving sisters-in-law Julie Moore of Ft. Mill, SC, and Diane Fager of Sarasota, FL.
Ana is now reunited with her beloved boxer, Shilo who predeceased her earlier this year, her mother and father in-law, Norman and Claudette Simoneau and her sister-in-law, Janine Simoneau.
