Anita (Sabatino) Dievert, loving wife, 75, of Kingsport, Tennessee, formerly of Meriden, CT passed away peacefully on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2023, at home in Tennessee with her husband, Ronald J. Dievert Sr., by her side.
Anita was born on January 30, 1948 in Meriden, CT daughter to the late Charles and Louise (Capasso) Sabatino. Raised in Meriden, Anita attended local schools and graduated from Platt High School. Anita was a devoted animal lover and had a special talent for arts and crafts, finding joy in creating beautiful works of art. A lifetime member of the Vietnam Veterans of America, Anita dedicated her time and efforts to supporting and honoring those who served their country. She will be remembered for her unwavering dedication to the organization and her compassionate nature that touched the lives of many.
Anita is survived by her husband of 33 years, Ronald J. Dievert, Sr., of Kingsport, TN; her daughter, Hope Peterson, of Branford, CT; her step-son, Ronald J. Dievert, Jr. and his wife, Aprill, of Plainville, CT; her grandchildren, Andrew Peterson and Christopher Peterson, of Branford, CT, Tyler J. Dievert, of Harwinton, CT, and Alexa Collin and Amber Collin, of Plainville, CT; her sister and brother-in-law, Patricia Krystofolski and Jack Krystofolski, of Cape Cod, MA; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ralph and Celica Dievert, of Hamden, CT; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Dennis and Debra Dievert, of East Haven, CT; and numerous extended family members and friends.
To celebrate Anita’s life, family and friends are welcome to gather on Saturday, April 20, 2024 from 10 to 12 PM at Plainville Funeral Home, 81 Broad St., Plainville. A prayer service will be held at 12 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held privately. Donations in memory of Anita may be made to your local animal shelter.
